The short version: Hollow Road collects nothing.
No account. No sign-up. No analytics. No ads. No third-party trackers. Speech is recognized on your device, and the story runs entirely on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. Hollow Road has no servers of its own, no login, and no analytics or advertising SDKs. We do not build a profile of you, and we have no data about you to sell, share, or lose.
Motion & fitness data
To gate the story to your movement, the app reads your motion and pace from your device's motion sensors while a run is active. This is processed on-device, in real time, to decide whether the narrator advances or waits. It is not transmitted anywhere and is not stored after your session beyond the run summary the app keeps locally on your phone.
Speech recognition
When you speak a choice at a fork, recognition runs on-device using Apple's speech framework. Your microphone is only active during a fork, only if you've granted permission, and audio is never recorded, stored, or uploaded by us. You can decline the permission and tap your choices instead.
Purchases
The Complete Odyssey is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, card, or payment details — Apple simply tells the app whether the purchase is active.
Children
Hollow Road is suitable for a general audience and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, we'll update the date above. Because the app collects no data, any change will be about clarity, not about new collection.
